The Hong Kong-based company, which operates 35 hotels and seven residences as part of the Jardine Matheson Group, is opening its first all-residential project on the west coast with the Mandarin Oriental Residences. The project is slated to open at 9200 Wilshire Blvd in 2022.
After completion, it will comprise 54 residential units, each with outdoor space. On-site amenities include a fitness and wellness center with spa treatments, a salon, library, and a rooftop pool with a bar and lounge.
The interior is taken over from 1508 London. Daniel Boulud, a Michelin-starred chef with multiple restaurants in New York, is also making his West Coast debut at the property. He will manage the restaurant on the ground floor as well as the lounge and bar on the roof of the Mandarin Oriental Residence. The menus will be available for eating at home.
The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group will manage the property, while SHVO, based in New York, and Deutsche Finance America, based in Denver, will act as owners and developers.
SHVO is also developing the Mandarin Oriental Residences at 685 5th Avenue in New York.
“Working with Mandarin Oriental, we’re creating one of the most exclusive residential properties in the heart of Beverly Hills, bringing together several of the world’s most coveted brands and partners to create a new standard of luxury living,” said Michael Shvo, founder, chairman and CEO of SHVO in a statement.
