John McCartney has joined BNP Paribas Real Estate Ireland as Head of Research, where he will develop the group’s research resources.
Mr. McCartney most recently worked for the Irish Housing Agency, where he was part of the strategy for Dublin’s chronic housing shortage last year. Prior to that, he was Director of Research at Savills Ireland and Director of Research at Lisney.
Announcing the appointment, Kenneth Rouse, Managing Director at BNP Paribas Real Estate Ireland (BNPRE) said detailed data analysis and market insights are critical in the commercial real estate sector and create real value for investors and clients.

McCartney’s mandate is to develop the market research resource at BNPPRE, which includes the analysis and compilation of real estate data, market commentary and forecasting of real estate indicators. Mr. McCartney will also be part of the group’s international research team, contributing to and being supported by a resource of over 60 people that produces market-leading pan-European research.
BNPRE Ireland, a subsidiary of the French bank BNP Paribas, has an ambitious growth program and offers comprehensive services throughout the property lifecycle.
