Introducing Ease of Borrowing in Line with Ease of Business: Sarbananda Sonowal

Guwahati: The Prime Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal, calls on the banks to introduce “easy borrowing” in line with “easy doing business”.

He also asked the banking authorities to hold awareness-raising events in all 26,000 villages and 1,500 tea gardens to generate financial wisdom.

Sonowal participated in a loan mela organized by the Zonal Office of. was organized

in Dharapur and presented the sanction letters for loans to the various beneficiaries. On this occasion, Sonowal inaugurated the Kamrup District Office, the Zonal Audit Office and the Bank’s PNB Credit Office.

Sonowal said: “In order to maintain our self-dignity, we have to become independent”. Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s request for Atmanirbhar Bharat, the Punjab National Bank’s initiative to disburse loans to various beneficiaries will definitely help people become self-sufficient and self-sufficient. At the same time, he asked the banking authorities to constantly monitor the use of the loan amount. He also urged beneficiaries to productively spend every penny of the loan so that the loan amount can be channeled into a useful resource. He said that in response to the announcement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rs. 20 lakh crore, a lakh small, medium and marginal entrepreneur in Assam secured a bank loan of Rs. 2 thousand crore.

With a series of actions by the Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Center for the Doubling of Farmers Income by 2022, Sonowal said the state government had created the prime minister’s Samagra Grammya Unnayan Yojana to support the infrastructural development of the farming community to promote in 26,000 villages in the state.

For the self-employment of the state’s youth, Sonowal urged the banking authorities to introduce “Facilitating Loans” in the same direction as “Facilitating Business”. He also urged banking authorities to hold awareness-raising events in all 26,000 to 1,500 tea gardens to generate financial wisdom.
