Castellum is the most sustainable real estate company in the Nordic regions

Gothenburg, Sweden, February 2, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — For the sixth year in a row, Castellum is included in the Sustainability Yearbook, which lists the world’s leading companies in the field of sustainability. As a sustainable real estate company, we are number one in Scandinavia and number two Europe and sixth worldwide.

“This is much more than an honorary title. It’s a testament to analysts around the world that we’re at the forefront of sustainability.” says Philip EllandHead of Sustainability at Castellum.

Published by S&P Global, the world’s leading provider of credit ratings, benchmarks and analysis of the global capital and commodity markets, the Sustainability Yearbook provides in-depth data and insights into critical business drivers where sustainability is increasingly important. Douglas L. PetersonCEO and Chairman of S&P Global, explains that sustainability is now the number one priority of global business.

The Sustainability Yearbook presents the companies that are among the top 15 percent in their industry. The aim of the index is to steer investors towards more sustainable investments. This year’s edition surveyed more than 7,500 companies across 61 industries, of which only 715 qualified for inclusion in the yearbook.

Castellum is the only Scandinavian real estate company in this year’s Sustainability Yearbook.

Philip Elland identifies three clear keys to Castellum’s success:

  1. Our sustainability goals are linked to the global goals, with a clear roadmap on how we will achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2030
  2. Sustainability is a fully integrated part of our business, prioritized by board and management, as well as by managers and employees within the company
  3. We work in a structured manner, follow up continuously and carry out careful risk assessments

“Castellum will continue to work hard to be at the forefront and I am confident that sustainable operations will continue to ensure profitability in the future,” says Rutger Arnhult, CEO of Castellum AB.
